Race 1.At the start, Count Kirov was slow out, losing about one length. From the 1300 to the 800 metres Stepped In It raced fiercely, throwing its head when being settled. Near the 800 metres, Satins Rare, which was pulling hard, had to be eased off the heels of Kelso Lad and Burning Sensation, which was following, was taken out. Near the 600 metres, Burning Sensation shifted in slightly and Curtain Raiser, which was following, was slightly inconvenienced. Jockey Beitia (Burning Sensation) was advised to show more care when shifting ground. Jockey Jago accidentally lost his whip near the 100 metres.

Race 2.At the start, Dobacor and Breeze On Past were slow out, losing one length and two lengths respectively. Near the 1300 metres, Gold Smuggler had to be steadied when squeezed between Metal Dagger and Summit. Jockey N. Nagadoo (Summit) was told to keep his mount close to the fence when in a position to do so and jockey Bundhoo (Metal Dagger) was advised to show more care when shifting ground. Royal Blaze and Rob-N-Bob raced wide throughout. The Club?s Veterinary Surgeon reported that Dobacor bled. Trainer B. de Coriolis was advised that this horse has been suspended for a period of one month and would need a veterinary clearance being allowed to race again.

Race 3. At the start, National Game stood flat-footed, losing about one length. Methodical Man raced wide on the first turn. Over the final 150 metres Solus hung in badly and was difficult to assist. Over the concluding stages, Boomerang was disappointed for a run and had to be eased. Trainer A. Perdrau and jockey Beitia were questioned regarding the disappointing performance of Petit Mitri. Jockey Beitia stated that he was going well up to about the 400 metres where the horse dropped the bit and did not respond to his urgings in the final straight. Trainer Perdrau added that the horse was blowing heavily after the race and had needed this run since it had not run since the 6 th meeting.

Race 4. The Club?s Veterinary Surgeon reported that Stud Master lost its off fore shoe in running.

Race 5. At the start Tolstoy (J. Lyoyd) jumped sideways, bumped Mugutti Force, unbalancing its jockey and causing the latter to be dislodged. Shortly before the 600 metres, Dandy Rouge had to be steadied when the riderless horse shifted in. Dr Goodfeel raced wide throughout and Glory Gulch raced wide on the final turn.

Race 6.</B> ?Jockey Lloyd, being indisposed, the Stewards gave their approval to Mr P. Henry to declare G. Hatt on Don Correro. Following an objection from a trainer that Hatt?s stable had a runner engaged in the race, Mr Henry was advised of this fact and proposed jockey Naiko to replace jockey Hatt. King Cool raced wide throughout. In the final straight stage Mate hung in badly, placing its rider in difficulty to assist it.

Race 7.C. Daby replaced J. Lloyd on Wrigley Fields. Finbar Finnegan raced wide throughout. At Approximately the 75 metres Keagan could not get a clear run and had to be eased.

Race 8.S. Mahadia replaced J. Lloyd on Power Block. Fitz Dancer had to be checked badly near the 1300 metres. An inquiry into this incident will be held on Tuesday at 7h30.
