> Exhibition on slavery

A travelling exhibition on ?Resistance and Abolition in the New World and the Indian Ocean?, jointly organised by the Mauritian Cultural Centre Trust and the Museum Council, is at the Mauritius Institute in Port-Louis until 14th February. It will then move to the town halls of Quatre-Bornes, Vacoas and Curepipe as from 20th February.

> Art displays

Vick Kumar Shibdoyal is showing his works in the Port-Louis Theatre foyer from 9th to 20th February. A sculpture exhibition will be held from15th to 29th February on the theme ?Arms in art? at the Centre Charles Baudelaire. The sculptures have all been created using weapons from the civil war in Mozambique.

> Bhajan concert

An Indian troupe, coming on the occasion of Maha Shivaratree, will give a concert of devotional songs on Friday 13th February at 7pm. Venue: Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre. More info: 697 3437
