Choral singers in concert
The Choral singers are giving a concert with evening performances between the 14th and the 20th of June. The programme will consist of inspirational hits, that is a selection of inspiring and favourite sacred hymns, anthems and songs including ‘Abide with me’, ‘O when the Saints’, ‘The Lord’s Prayer’, ‘The Holy City (Jerusalem), ‘Bless this House’ , ‘The prayer’ and ‘Adiemus’ as well as songs from the musicals. These will include excerpts from the ‘Sound of Music’, ‘Cats’, ‘South Pacific’, ‘West Side Story’, ‘Les Misérables’, etc…
The first performance will be at St Patrick’s Church in Quatre-Bornes at 6.30pm on the 14th of June. On the 15th, it will be at Salette in Grand-Bay. Then, on the 16th, St Therese’s Church in Curepipe will host the concert. The last performance will take place on Monday the 20th at 6.30pm at St Augustin’s Church in Rivière-Noire.
The soloist is Santie Meiring, the keyboard accompaniment will be by Leslie Merven and the musical director and conductor is Bronwyn Maingard.
The entrance is free with a collection at the door.
