I am a regular visitor of your country and I have noticed something quite alarming over the years. I love the Plaine-Champagne area. Unfortunately, what I saw at the Cross Road at Henrietta the other day is quite amazing.

How can a country that boasts of ?tourisme de Classe? allow people with dirty hands, clothes and various gadgets to sell pancakes along the road in the most filthy way.

These vendors use rain water, water from gutters for their preparations. In addition there is dirt that is raised each time a vehicle passes by. There is no hygiene at all. When will Mauritius take steps to stop this scandal? Do the authorities want a repetition of what is happening in South East Asia before taking any decision? It will then be too late. The same atrocious thing can be seen elsewhere in Mauritius.

On my next visit, if I notice that nothing has been done, I shall e-mail this note to all tour operators across Europe to alert them of the sense of Mauritian hygiene.
