Night of the Eternal Shiva

À l’heure du tout à l’image et du buzz sans suite, «l’express» souhaite faire découvrir la plume d’une poète qui a été inspirée par la fête de Maha Shivaratri.

In light and darkness,

we begin.

One nation.

We walk with purpose.

We try to find the light.

We demand peace.

We command.

We serve.

We lead.

We awaken.

We dream.

We hope.

We love.

We cry.

We become.

The destroyer of shadows,

fears,

evil

and

chains.

We dream to rise from your fire

and

be reborn to a life of peace & freedom.

Sleepless nights and devotion.

We lose ourselves in the fire

only to find that we are

higher than we believe.

Brave hearts and lost souls,

we will never forget.

White garments glow in the mist,

every prayer becomes a bridge

between the earth and the sky.

Between the seen and the unseen,

devotion meets the ground we walk on.

The river does not speak

but it is aware of every hope floating

and

every sorrow drowning.

Devotees with folded hands,

that is where you will find them

saying, “Har har Mahadev.”
