The English-Speaking Union (ESU) is the co-ordinator in Mauritius for the Commonwealth Essay Competition, which was first established in 1883. Sir Victor Glover, ESU Mauritius President, has recently been nominated the Honorary Representative of the Royal Commonwealth Society in Mauritius.
The four local prize winners will each receive a cash prize at a prize giving ceremony to be sponsored by Barclays Bank and an award from the Royal Commonwealth Society in London. Results from all countries are available on the competition website www.rcsint.org/essay.
