Indians among top 100 innovators
Two Indian engineers have been named among the world?s top 100 young innovators this year in a list brought out by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
The engineers - Chaitali Sengupta and Anuj Batra - work for Texas Instruments (TI) in the US and find mention in the MIT?s 2004 Technology Review magazine, considered a top publication in the science and technology world.
The two would soon be honoured at the Technology Review?s Emerging Technologies Conference at MIT. Sengupta, 34, works in the area of wireless network technology used in mobile phone services. Sengupta, who hails from Durgapur in West Bengal, said: ?The award feels special.? She now wants to expand her research into the 3.5G and 4G technologies. No details were immediately available for the work for which Batra was cited.
