En Afrique, Céline Dion confronte son fils à la réalité du monde

Il y a quelques jours, Céline Dion débarquait à Johannesburg, en Afrique du Sud, accompagnée de son fils, René-Charles (photo), et de son mari, René, pour une série de neuf concerts. Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar accused of racism

Liz Hurley and her husband Arun Nayar (photo) have been accused of racial discrimination and breach of contract by their ex-Indian maid, who claims that the couple paid her a shoddy 1.20 pounds (Rs 100) an hour. Violet D?Souza, 23, who was brought over to UK from her native India by Nayar, broke her silence after working for the couple at their London home for almost four years before being fired. She planned to take them before a tribunal to claim damages for allegedly breaking a string of employment laws, reports a London newspaper. D?Souza was prepared to face her former bosses with accusations including unfair dismissal, breach of contract, race discrimination, failing to give her a proper contract of employment and withholding wages. However, she withdrew the case, after being paid a five-figure settlement by the millionaire couple. D?Souza had lived and worked for the couple for four years before being suddenly fired.

Barbados celebrates ?Rihanna day?

Rihanna has been honoured with a national holiday in her home country of Barbados. The ?Umbrella? singer was thrilled after discovering the Caribbean island has declared February 21st as ?Rihanna Day?. A source said, ?She?s really flattered. She can?t believe she now has her on national day, it?s such an honour.? Rihanna ? who turned 20 ? flew out to Barbados to accept the honour and perform a free concert. She was accompanied on the trip by rumoured boyfriend Chris Brown. Although the pair have denied dating, Chris helped Rihanna celebrate her birthday early last week along with friends including Kanye West and actor Wilmer Valderrama at an LA nightclub.
