A lot of school leavers these days must be pondering about their careers and future. Parents often ask about the prospects of Science/Engineering for their wards in this technological world.

A lot also is being said about the future of Mauritius as a technological hub and making Science subjects mandatory up to Form V.

According to WTO reports, the industrial services sector will occupy a prominent place in the economy of emerging countries. In Mauritius, since Science/Engineering is relegated to the lowest rungs of hierarchy, unless somebody is a die hard fanatic of technology, it is hard to imagine why he/she should field Engineering.
