He was fined Rs.10,000 At an inquiry into an incident, it was established that at the 400 metres jockey Rama (Intrusion) moved his horse off the fence, and approaching the 300 metres Goldhawk had to be taken in to avoid the heels of Spinning Honor in front of it. As a result, Waldorf Dancer became badly cramped for room and had to be checked severely. In the circumstances, no action was taken other than to advise jockey Rama to show more care in future. An endoscopic examination of Waldorf Dancer revealed the latter to have bled. In view of this report and, acting under Rule 166 (2) (c), trainer S. Jockey Emamdee was fined Rs.10,000. Approaching the 1200 metres, New Recruit, which had improved on the inside, was slightly cramped for room when Peter?s Crown had to be taken in off the heels of Smuggler. From the 1000 metres, when the pace slowed, Peters Crown and New Recruit raced fiercely, both throwing their heads up in the air over some distance. In the final straight, New Recruit hung in badly and was difficult to be properly assisted. At an inquiry into the running and riding of Peters Crown, trainer S. Henry stated that since the horse is a bleeder and, at its last win had waited for the fence to take the inside run, he instructed jockey Whitmore to do likewise and at the start to jump and follow Brassy Badger. However, due to an interference near the 1200 metres he found himself further back than anticipated.
