Celebrations
The Mauritius Tamil Cultural Centre is hosting activities today and tomorrow to celebrate the Tamil New Year. The classical and folk dance group, Tiruvalluvar Circle, and the Malaysian Tamil Artists will perform at the Plaza Theatre today at 2 p.m. Entrance is free. The Malaysian group has been specially invited to Mauritius for the celebrations. Since Sunday, they have covered a large part of the island giving performances at Surinam and Amory social centres. Tomorrow the Tamizh Maha Jana Sangham Tiroukka Kovil of Rose-Belle will welcome the Malaysian Tamil Artists at 6.30 p.m.
