● <B>Symposium on ICT. </B> A symposium is being organised for the promotion of value-added exporting of services of Information and Communication Technologies «ICT». This initiative of the Board of Investment in collaboration with the Commonwealth Secretariat will take place between 28th and 31st January at the Hilton Resort & Spa Hotel. It is aimed at advertising Mauritius as a platform for commercial activities of ICT and Business Process Outsourcing.

● <B>Tianli model presented to the PM.</B> Promoters of the Tianli project will present the model of the industrial area to the prime minister, Navin Ramgoolam, today. This project, which should cost around Rs 20 billion, will create 34,000 jobs. The zone will accommodate 40 companies, a residential centre, a commercial centre, a leisure complex and a hospital for about 300 patients. The first presentation by the promoters to the minister of Finance and other personalities last week was qualified as impressive by those present.
