St-Hubert Govt. School, the pride of our village
St-Hubert Govt. School is on the move - the 2007 CPE results speak for themselves. With a percentage pass rate of 82% St-Hubert Govt. School has scored a highly honourable pass rate. Though in a rural area St-Hubert has become an ideal place for setting up a centre of learning.
And today St-Hubert Govt. School is fulfilling this mission with a dynamic PTA under the chairmanship of Mr Gunessee and the active administration of Mrs Purnanun and her successor Mr Rugoo.
The school has also achieved a number of successes in terms of infrastructure. The international Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has financed the school for setting up a shelter, a well-equipped library and a modernized preprimary school. IFAD also financed the purchase of audio-visual equipment for the school. St-Hubert Govt. School has a well-equipped IT laboratory.
As for the teachers of that school, they are devoting themselves to the cause of the children without any publicity or glamour. Teachers of St-Hubert Govt. School, which is a non-star school, are getting results. In so doing, they are smashing the argument laid down by a representative of teachers that teachers of non-star schools absent themselves often because they don?t give tution.
St-Hubert Govt. School has opened a new page in its history. And to-day the school is the pride of the village.
