British can register as overseas voters
British citizens over 18 years of age living abroad, who have been registered to vote in the UK within the last 15 years can apply to be overseas voters. Voting can be by post or by proxy.
Full details about overseas registration are available on the Electoral Commission?s voter website www.aboutmyvote.co.uk. also available online is an application form, which can be downloaded.
The registration form must be sent to the Electoral Registration Officer at the local council where the applicant last registered to vote in the UK, before 11 March 2005.
