INDUSTRY. Factory blast kills nine. At least nine people were killed and four injured in an explosion at a fireworks factory in Thailand?s central province of Ayutthya yesterday, police said. The blast wrecked the building and killed eight people on the scene, while another person died in hospital, Police Lt. Col. Sawek Pasakdi told Reuters.?There was a big noise and the ground was shaking. I saw a blazing fire and a cloud rising like a mushroom,? Sawek said. At least four people were rushed to hospital with serious injuries. The cause of the blast was not known
