Min Zhu, IMF Deputy Managing Director: “Mauritius is not a tax haven”

Min Zhu, the Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), was in Mauritius for the inauguration of the Africa Training Institute (ATI), an IMF facility for capacity development located at Ebène. He gave his views on the need for capacity building in Africa, and also on the Mauritian economy in general. He mentioned the fact that the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) does not classify Mauritius as a “tax haven”.
