● <B>AIDS CANDLELIGHT MEMORIAL</B>? This year the Aids Candlelight Memorial will be held at Mahebourg. Set up for the first time in New York and San Francisco in 1983, the International Candlelight Memorial is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Every 18th May, there is a vigil with lit candles for the 33 million people that are estimated to be infected and all those that have died of the disease. This vigil also serves as an opportunity to educate the public about HIV/AIDS and to foster partnerships and community dialogue. The theme this year is: NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER FORGET.
