We refer to the article entitled Customer What? (under the subheading A posh Indian Restaurant in Port-Louis) in page 8 of l?express issue of 17th January 2008 and take note of the contents therein.

ABC Foods (Chue Wing & Co. Ltd) feels that one of its main lines of product, Yeo?s, has been portrayed in a negative light. The article contains the term ?offending sauces? when referring to Yeo?s tomato and sweet chilli sauce. We believe that this article causes prejudice to our products and that the adjective ?offending? was totally unwarranted, more so because Yeo?s is a respected household name in the customer goods sector and is manufactured locally under license from Yeo Hiap Seng Ltd from Singapore.

We therefore find the choice of the terms in the article unsolicited whereby the product of ABC Foods portrayed as ?offending? is stated as a fact without any justification or counter explanation.
