George Michael va publier une autobiographie

La star pop britannique George Michael travaille à une autobiographie à paraître à l?automne 2009, suite à un accord qualifié de record, a annoncé la maison d?édition américaine «HarperCollins». Selon l?éditeur, l?ouvrage à paraître, dont le titre n?a pas encore été décidé, autorisera un «accès toutes zones» à la vie du chanteur de 44 ans, devant se livrer sans restrictions tant sur le plan professionnel que personnel.

OJ Simpson leaves jail after judge?s lecture

OJ Simpson was freed from a Las Vegas jail on the day before, after spending five nights behind bars for trying to contact a defendant in an armed-robbery case that could send him to prison for life. The former football star posted the $250,000 bail that had been imposed earlier in the day by an angry judge, and was driven off in a white «Mercedes-Benz» amid tight security at the Clark County Detention Center. He was dressed in the same clothes he had been wearing when he was arrested. Simpson, famously acquitted in 1995 of murdering his ex-wife, has been charged with leading a robbery last year to get back his own sports memorabilia.

Ike Turner?s death ruled cocaine overdose

Rock-and-roll pioneer Ike Turner died of a cocaine overdose, the San Diego County medical examiner said on the day before. Turner, 76, was found dead on December 12 at his home in San Marcos near San Diego. He had a history of cocaine addiction stretching back more than 30 years. The medical examiner said an autopsy showed that a long history of cardiovascular disease and emphysema contributed to Turner?s death. Turner was considered one of the founding fathers of rock music but his run-ins with the law and a messy marriage to R&B singer Tina Turner shadowed his musical accomplishments. His ?Rocket 88? with the Kings of Rhythm is credited with helping to change the look of rock and roll in the 1950s and his fame grew over the next two decades.
