Towards the end of each year, I see predictions galore on newspapers for the coming year from the so-called experts. This year, I?ve decided to look in my crystal ball and join them. Here are my ten predictions for 2008:

1. We will suffer from cyclones

2. We will have a hot summer

3. There will be changes on the political scene

4. There will be several changes in unemployment figures

5. Some small and medium enterprises will prosper

6. The prices of some goods will increase

7. Some parastatal bodies will continue to be incompetent

8. The world population will be on the increase

9. Some politicians will still talk a lot of hot air

10. There will still be people gullible enough to believe in these so-called predictions and prepared to pay good money to listen to these soothsayers
