Mali bus collision kills 25, injures 30 </B>
Twenty-five people were killed and 30 injured in Mali when two buses, one carrying supporters of President Amadou Toumani Toure, collided at the weekend on a road northeast of the capital, officials said yesterday.
The accident in the West African state occurred overnight Saturday to Sunday not far from the town of San, about 400 km (250 miles) from the capital Bamako.
<B>Baby dies after rottweiler attack</B>
A baby girl has died after being attacked by two rottweiler dogs.
The five-month-old girl was savaged by the pets at a pub in Leicester, and was rushed to the city’s Royal Infirmary but died from her injuries shortly afterwards late Saturday.The parents of the baby girl were looking after the pub and dogs while the landlord was away on holiday.The animals were used as guard dogs and belonged to the landlord.Neighbour Amy Grimbley said: “The dogs are known to be vicious. They are guard dogs. They stay on the roof during the day and whenever you walk past, you get the feeling they could just jump down and attack you”. A Leicestershire Police spokesman said officers would be seeking a destruction order for the dogs, reports said.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the death, which comes five weeks after a four-year-old boy needed 200 stitches in his face after being attacked by an American bulldog in Huntingdon, eastern England.
<B>Crashed helicopter found in Nepal, no survivors</B>
A search team has found the wreckage of a helicopter that disappeared in Nepal at the weekend and all 24 people on board, including a government minister, are believed dead. The seven member rescue team found the crashed helicopter and called us. They said there were no survivors,” said Himesh Lal Karna, an air traffic official from Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan airport yesterday.
