Le ministre conservateur iranien de la Culture et de la guidance islamique Mohammad-Hossein Saffar-Harandi s?est engagé à éliminer les ?manifestations d?immoralité dans la société? et à ?purifier? le secteur culturel. Il a aussi annoncé une réduction du nombre d?agences de presse iraniennes autorisées à travailler en Iran. ?Malheureusement, nous assistons à des manifestations inappropriées et immorales dans la société actuelle?, a dit M. Saffar-Harandi dans un discours diffusé sur la radio d?Etat. ?Mais maintenant, vous avez ma parole pour engager une purification de l?atmosphère culturelle?, a-t-il ajouté. ?Dans un futur proche, nous ne constaterons plus une production culturelle malsaine dans les livres, films, événements, musique, etc?, a-t-il poursuivi . Le ministre a aussi attaqué le nombre grandissant d?agences de presse, en annonçant son intention de le réduire. M. Saffar-Harandi a pris ses fonctions l?été dernier, après l?élection du président ultra-conservateur Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
