Oil hovers above $ 60. </B>Oil steadied above $ 60 a barrel yesterday, with traders seeking new clues on US oil demand after Hurricane Wilma bypassed oil and gas fields in the Gulf of Mexico. Refinery and oilfield updates from oil major BP, reporting third-quarter results, tightened the outlook for both US product and crude markets heading into winter, supporting many analysts’ view for a rebound in prices. US light crude rated 11 cents lower to $ 60.21 a barrel, following a loss of 31 cents on Monday. September found that increases in fuel prices and the prospect of higher energy bills have affected consumers’ spending and their psyches, the New York-based NPD Group said.
