Penelope Cruz says she wants to adopt a child, and it could be from India. The 31-year-old actress said: “I love babies. I’ve been to India a few times and seen a level of misery I’d only seen on the news. Adopting a child is something I really want to do in my life.”

Earlier this year, the “Sahara” star had said she would like to adopt one of India’s homeless children after having worked with the missionaries in Kolkata four years ago, reports celebrity portal FemaleFirst. Cruz, who is currently dating Hollywood heart throb Matthew McConaughey, says she is “desperate” for lots of children and can’t bear to see youngsters without parents. She is reported as saying: “I do know I want lots of children. Everyday I think about adopting a baby.”
