Development in the southeast

I refer to the article on the southeast highway published in today?s edition, 15 November 2004. First of all, this is not the first time that roads have to be built... I wonder how no one ever thought of the environmental impact of the Nouvelle France-Phoenix link road when it was being built... I feel it is good that questions are being raised for it helps us to identify measures to be taken to limit the impact of these risks on our environment....

What is definitely lacking in the assessment of your reporter is that he is only focusing on the reduction in travel time for tourists to get to their hotel destinations, but how can he miss the opportunity this project will bring the southeast to catch up with the development which has gone through in the other parts of the country. The southeast has been left in desolation for all these years due to its isolation, bad road access in comparison to what is offered in the rest of the country...
