Star has reached No 8 on The New York Times bestseller list, and Pamela Anderson is proud of her book’s success. “I can now officially call myself a bestselling author. I’m writing a sequel. In it, Star really hits Hollywood and it’s going to be even sexier. Star had hardly got going in the first book.” Hardly got going?

In Star , the heroine has romps in various places with various people. The author, after all, is former Baywatch star Pam, who describes Star as her autobiography. “It’s my story. I wanted to tell the truth.”

Pamela co-wrote the book with Eric Shaw Quinn and says the sex scenes shocked him. “The book could have been worse; we had to cut stuff out,” she reveals. Star also covers darker times – child abuse and a gangrape by four boys when Pam was a teenager.

Recently, Pam has been linked to a model but most of her time is taken up being a full-time mum. “I always put my boys first, they are my life. I’m lunch monitor at their school. I watch the kids in the playground, read them stories and stuff. I love it. I have absolutely no interest in going back on a film set. I prefer staying at home with the boys.”
