Sunday Funday in music
Music Day is next Monday. Like each year, Conservatoire François Mitterand is organizing its usual series of activities. The novelties this year are:From 14th to 18th June, eighteen students will be following an intensive training in violin, cello and double bass playing with the collaboration of Centre Charles Baudelaire and under the responsibility of L?Ensemble Hexagone, a quartet from Paris. They will perform in a Chamber music concert at the Conservatoire on 19th June at 7pm.
Tickets are available at Centre Charles Baudelaire.During the same period, there will be exhibitions of various musical instruments as well as demos by musicians for schools and colleges. Interested institutions should call the secretariat to reserve a 90-minute session.
Finally, the Conservatoire is organizing a ?Music day? on Sunday 20 June as from 11:30 am. Any sort of music is welcome on stage. As from 2:30 pm, the activities will be held in the Auditorium with the Conservatoire orchestra, the various choirs and the Select Singers interpreting medleys of famous musicals as well as other groups. Entrance is free and drinks will be on sale.
