● <B>Education.</B> The end of the ordeal ? It will soon be the end of the long wait ? the exams came to an end on the 26th of October ? for the 27,000 or so pupils who sat for the Certificate of Primary Education (CPE). Results will be out on Thursday, 13th of December. Only about 1,260 pupils will have a place in one of the national colleges ? those obtaining the famous four A+. The Mauritius Examinations Syndicate stated that this year?s results may be better than those of previous years.
● <B>National assembly. </B>End of parliamentary session ? This week will see the end of the present parliamentary session. MP will go on holiday until the next session in January. Hence, they will have two more sessions this week ? tomorrow, the 11th and Friday the 14th of December.
