● Exhibition on gender equality ? Fifty photographs of men and women of the region are on display at Charles Baudelaire Cultural Centre until tomorrow. This exhibition, on the theme Gender equality towards professions, aims at breaking stereotypes on the kinds of jobs done by men and women. The event has been organised by Media Watch Organisation-Gemsa with the collaboration of Chancegal, a non-governmental organisation of Reunion Island that deals with gender equality.

● Official visit in China ? The prime minister, Navin Ramgoolam, will be going on an official trip to China in mid-July. This visit is in the context of the new era of economic cooperation between Mauritius and China. As the cooperation between China and Africa is on an upward trend, Mauritius wants to get ready to take advantage of this opportunity.
