Saudi executes man for killing two Indians
Saudi Arabia executed a Saudi man on Sunday for killing two Indians and a Pakistani man while robbing them, the Interior Ministry said.
A ministry statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency said Abdul-Rahman bin Sultan al-Otaibi was executed in a town in the east of the conservative Muslim kingdom. The Gulf Arab state, which implements strict Islamic Sharia law, executes convicted murderers, rapists and drug traffickers, usually by public beheading.
Sunday?s execution brought to at least 38 the number of people put to death in Saudi Arabia so far this year, compared to at least 35 last year and 53 in 2003.
