Opened last November at Super U shopping complex, Pin Up is definitely a cosy place that women will love. With a pink and purple decoration and surrounded by such famous brands they usually see in catalogues, they will certainly go crazy when they step into the shop. ?It is true we had quite a good response when we opened a few months ago? I suppose something was missing on the Mauritian market,? reveals Diana, the dynamic young lady who owns the shop.

As the shop will receive its new collection ? about 700 pieces ? at the beginning of next month, there is a need to clear all shelves from the ?old? November collection. So there are 10% to 40% rebates on all products until 16th April.

Of course, the classics will remain on the shelves so that regular customers, who tend to become more and more numerous, find their favourites when they come to the shop.

But the new collection has other surprises in store? It will include a whole range of slips and boxer shorts for men. Bear brand will allow ladies to persuade their husbands to go shopping with them at Super U.

A bra sold every 15 seconds

The shop imports four famous brands from South Africa: Playtex, She Bear and Girls Inc. - actually the ?teen? collection of Playtex ? and the world-famous Wonderbra. The latter is definitely the one people are searching for when they come to the shop. ?Did you know that, when the Wonderbra Push-up made its debut in 1994 in the US, Wonderbra sold at the rate of one every 15 seconds?? asks Diana. Of course, Mauritius has not reached such a purchasing rate but ladies are nevertheless fond of Wonderbra products ? especially those ?white convertible strapless wonderboost bra that is a removable bra that converts five ways?. The brand is particularly known for its ?lift styles?.

For simple and comfortable underwear, Playtex has a wide range to offer. Girls? Inc, the ?younger? collection, offers more colourful and printed models. Pink and light green fight on the shelves of the Girls? Inc. section.

Oriental range to celebrate woman

She Bear ?celebrates woman? and its oriental range adds an even more sexy style to the already feminine brand. ?This range is styled around the fabrics used ? a nylon/lycra mesh combined with a stretch all-over lace and edging,? explains the shop owner. With its discreet lace and light fabric, the She Bear underwear gives a classy and refined touch to those wearing it.

Diana intends to order two or three collections a year but she could well order a few models during the year ? just like she did for last Valentine?s Day. A catalogue in the shop allows customers to choose a special model or size that can be ordered from South Africa. ?There are special occasions like weddings, for instance, when people need a special product. We can order it especially but customers must not come to the shop at the last minute; we have to be given some time to order and receive the products? This can also help people wearing big sizes who often have problems to find their underwear here!?
