Mixed welcome for “MV Doulos”

The biggest floating library in the world is here for the benefit of book lovers till Sunday 13th November. “MV Doulos” is open to the public at Quay D from 10 am to 10 pm on weekdays and from 2 pm to 10 pm on Sundays. The entrance tickets are at Rs 10. With its 500,000 books – among which about 6,000 are on sale – the ship should find favour with all those who are fond of reading.The aim of the ship is to go around the world to enable people to enjoy and study books but also to love their fellowmen and God. The 325 volunteers who work on the boat are all part of a charitable Protestant association. Coming from 40 different countries, they are there to serve culture and promote communication between people.
