Race 1 - the broadway bill plate

At the start, apprentice Luxe (Mythical Man) lost his off side stirrup which he regain near the 1300 metres. Waterford was slow out, losing about one length. Approaching the 600 metres Burning Sensation shifted in, resulting in Russia House, on its inside, to be carried in and brushed the running rail. Jockey Sooful was shown the video of the incident and reminded of his obligation to allow room to horses on his inside. Burning Sensation hung out badly from the 300 metres and turned very wide into the final straight. Passing the 100 metres Russia House started shifting in and, near the 50 metres, had to be taken out to avoid the heels of Judgement Day.

Race 3 - The steam house Cup

At the start Lauberhorn was slow out, losing about one length. Brassy Badger raced wide throughout. Near the 200 metres Brassy Badger shifted in slightly, brushed Metal Dagger which became unbalanced and in turn bumped Lauberhorn, resulting in jockey Lloyd momentarily dropping his rein. The Club?s Veterinary Surgeon reported that Metal Dagger was lame on the off fore leg. Trainer L. A. Gallet was told that this horse will need a veterinary certificate before being allowed to race again.

Race 4 - The major paul hein cup

Joshua Tree missed the start by one length and was slow into stride. Shortly after, Moro Hue, when being restrained, threw its head up and lost about one length. Jockey Sanchez reported that Fiat Lux hung out throughout the race and pulled up lame. The Club?s Veterinary Surgeon reported that Fiat Lux was lame on the near fore leg. In view of this, trainer P. Merven was told that this horse will need a veterinary certificate before being allowed to race again.

Race 5 - The j. Paul hein cmg Cup

At the start Sentier De Guerre jumped awkwardly, losing about one length and stumbled shortly after. From the 350 metres until entering the final straight. Desert Prince was held up behind a tiring Spanish Drummer and had to be checked off its heels on one or two occasions. Sentier De Guerre raced wide on the final turn. The Club?s Veterinary Surgeon reported that Solus was coughing after the race and pulled up sore on both fore legs. In view of this report, trainer S. Henry was told that this horse has been suspended for the remainder of the season. The Club?s Veterinary Surgeon reported that Atlantic Mist pulled up lame on the near fore leg. In view of this, trainer P. Henry was told this horse will need a veterinary certificate before being allowed to race again.

Race 6 - The philippe ducler des rauches Cup

National Game was accidentally struck on the head on two occasions by the whip of jockey Joorawon over the last 100 metres. Near the 1200 metres Spinning Honor stumbled. At an inquiry into this incident, it was established that jockey Boutanive had allowed Qui Lord to shift in when not quite clear and that apprentice Unjore (Spinning Honor) had assisted his mount into a narrow gap, resulting in his horse being cramped for room and clipping heels. Jockey Boutanive was issued with a warning and told to make sure he is clear when shifting ground. Passing the 1000 metres Kilsheelan had to be eased when Above The Mast shifted in when insufficiently clear. Jockey Wrogemann was shown the video of the incident, issued with a warning and told to make sure he is clear before shifting ground.

Race 7 - The frederick staub Cup

The Club?s Veterinary Surgeon reported that Mr Sunbeam was lame and was unfit to race. Consequently, the horse was withdrawn at 9.15 a.m. today. As a result, all bets on this horse were ordered to be refunded and betting with bookmakers was re-opened. Trainer P. Merven was advised that Mr Sunbeam will need a veterinary certificate before being allowed to race again.
