<B>Excellence</B>

A good public speaker aims at excellence, always striving to deliver a speech in the most effective manner. Working hard to develop the speech and practise the delivery, the skilled public speaker goes that extra mile to add a touch of quality to the speech. Striving for excellence builds character and is relevant to all facets of life.

<B>Confidence and improvement</B>

A good speech wins praise and recognition from the audience, giving the speaker a sense of achievement and self-esteem. Knowing you have delivered a difficult speech well boosts confidence in your own ability. Gaining knowledge through study and skill through practice further enhances that ability.

<B>Criticism</B>

Feedback is valuable and it is important to be able to accept criticism. Whether the feedback is positive or negative, something can be learned from it. A speech may fail because it did not meet the audience’s expectations or because it did not address certain key issues. Whatever the reasons, criticism is the basis for future improvement
