I am writing in this section because I want people to know how the people who treat us are being treated. I feel particularly concerned because someone very dear to me, my wife is, as a doctor, one of these people.

Her changing health, loss of weight, tiredness is something she cannot hide from me, though she has, over time, acquired the skill to hide it from others, viz. patients and staff.

There are factors like lack of sleep, stress and overwork but these are factors all professionals are faced with and with proper training and planning, can be dealt with. But what drives me mad is the fact that these people seldom have time to have a proper meal. My wife has developed gastritis and though she controls it, it does come up every now and then, specially when she has not had time to have a meal! And lately, it has been too often.

I acquiesce that there is a lack of doctors and medical staff in general. I know that the government is working on making the situation more comfortable for all. Though government input is something that is critical, we as the general public should cooperate and show understanding.

At lunchtime, tea time and dinner time, doctors and nurses, need to refuel, they need to eat. At that time, there is a reduced service and emergencies are looked at in priority. So in that time, we must not be egoistical, show some consideration and be patient. They are not machines.

<B>C'est l'heure, réveillez-vous les Mauriciens !</B>

L'acte de barbarie, commis, sur le cheval par ces personnes, démontre leur sens de l'humanité. Cet acte nous arrache le coeur, vu que le cheval était déjà dans un état maladif et incapable de se sauver. Les coupables méritent d'être punis sévèrement pour cette atrocité.

Un cheval représente la force. Certains Mauriciens se réjouissent très bien de cette force (plus ou moins l'exploitation de l'animal) pour gagner de l'argent au Champ-de-Mars. Ce cheval qui a couru un long parcours, a failli de faire la même chose (c'est à dire - se protéger soi-même en se sauvant) au moment de le tuer. Il n'existe aucun mot de plus vulgaire pour décrire cet acte cruel.

Revenons sur la cruauté, sur les chiens, commis par ces Chinois. C'est déplorable.  La loi, à Maurice, n'est pas vraiment assez sévère dans plusieurs cas tels comme le crime, le viol sur les humains et la cruauté envers les animaux.   

Dans ces cas mentionnés, il faudra bien donner une leçon inoubliable aux malfaiteurs pour que cela ne se répète pas à l'avenir, comme dans d'autres pays. Par exemple, j?estime qu?il serait juste de faire amputer le poignet à ceux qui pratiquent ces actes inacceptables.

Alors, réveillons nous et réveillons notre sens de l'humanisme. Réagissons contre le viol, la violence, le crime et d'autres actes de barbarie.
