Teachers of lower classes and those of non-star schools are expressing their anger at the statement made by a teacher representative. He had stated that teachers of lower classes and those of non-star schools have the tendency of absenting themselves. Since private tuition is not allowed in lower classes, these teachers find it normal to absent themselves.

Such an anti-teacher statement had never been made by anybody; not even by the employer. Teachers must take good note of this. Let us shed some light on the issue.

Private tuition has nothing to do with absenteeism. These two elements are not linked at all. Furthermore, if teachers of Standards I to III have no right to give private tuition, this does not mean that they are not doing their best. These teachers don?t link private tuition to absences. Let it be known to that representative of teachers that if Standards IV, V and VI are important, Standards I, II and III are equally important. Again a teacher will not remain eternally in Standards IV, V and VI.

Another point is that the majority of schools are non-star schools. Still they are delivering the goods. In fact, those teachers working in such difficult areas must be praised for doing such good work. Many teachers are asking the following questions:

Why is the representative of teachers against lower classes and anti non-star schools?

Is he defending star schools only?

Definitely teachers will question this representative of teachers on his statement.
