Meeting PM ? Sugar industry ? The prime minister, Navin Ramgoolam, is going to meet members of the sugar industry by the beginning of the week. He admits that the government has lost some time in the implementation of the reform but says it is because "the data we asked for were given sparingly". This meeting is expected to ease out the situation and make sure that the European Union grants the country the financial aid promised under certain conditions.

Business network event ? The Jeune Chambre International of Port-Louis is organising a business network event on Wednesday 17th October. The meeting, held at Labourdonnais hotel, aims at gathering members of the business circle to promote exchanges between people in that sector ? especially in the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) field.
