● MAY DAY. The "crowd battle" for May Day is starting this week with a first rally organized by the ?Mouvement Militant Mauricien? on Wednesday afternoon in Montagne-Blanche. The 1st of May is an opportunity for all parties to check their popularity and all of them will strive to mobilize the biggest possible audience within the coming weeks.
● ON MISSION. The minister of Finance, Rama Sithanen, and his financial secretary, Ali Mansoor, are presently on mission in Europe and in the United States until 18th April. Sithanen is first holding discussions on a cooperation agreement between Belgium and Mauritius in Brussels. He will then take part in the spring meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
