Anusha Banee, a little girl of three years old passed away on Saturday following blows. On the same day, her mother, Rajini Mooneesamy, was arrested. After her arrest, she admitted having hit her daughter over several days. Her partner, Stéfan, is seen as the other suspect in this tragedy. The child was taken to the Jeetoo hospital on Friday night. Her body showed burn marks made by cigarette stubs. Also, she had a permanent mark made by a knife that had been heated. Furthermore, the autopsy practised by Dr Satish Boolell has revealed that Anusha also received sexual injuries. Her older brother of five years old, Ryan, was taken to Candos hospital with a dislocated arm. He was beaten up as well.

<B>Need to find substitute for expensive fuel</B>

The price of petroleum products keeps increasing and there is no sign this trend will change. However, a solution may have been found. Indeed, Ethanol and renewable energy could substitute for petrol. Experts in the field agree that the present petrol prices should encourage us to try and find other sources of energy. The authorities are already working on the possibility of mixing ethanol and petrol in cars to reduce petrol consumption. The CEB director, Patrick Assirdaven, also explains that the institution is taking steps to reduce its dependence on petroleum. Electricity should be produced from coal, wind and waste in the future.
