Two nations emerging from the same womb in yester years
With umbilical cord mercilessly butchered
In the manner of a lizard’s fractured tail
Dangling into the uncertain future
Faring as naturally as duck to water
Through decades of carefully-nurtured enmity
With teeth and claws in indelible red
Theft, pillage, abduction, murder, rape
Heaven, in its own mysterious design,
Their intestines still intertwined has maintained
DivALI is incomplete without ALI
And RAMadan without RAM
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) synonymous with
‘Please Inform Allah’
And Air India (AI) responding with
‘Allah Informed’
The cycle is about to come full circle
With the tremor in both Kashmirs
Being but a divine message for both
To inch their way to a warmer heavenly embrace
Manmohan and Musharaf
Please heed the above
For Heaven’s sake!
