?Is Mauritius still the pearl of the Indian Ocean??

I am a Mauritian who live in Dubayy and as usual I was reading your newspaper which by the way is so much welcome here since it the only means for us to really know what is happening in our little paradise (if can call it so nowadays).

I really qualify the trauma that the Khan?s family had experienced last week disgusting and immature from some immoral persons who don?t have anything to do but to just spoil the image of Mauritius all over the world. Believe it or not, it?s not only Mauritian people overseas who read your newspaper and who focus on our island but people all over the world. And what about the Police that have failed to take this matter seriously into consideration? Do you think that Mauritius will still be consider the... how do you say that in your lauguage? ?pearl of the Indian Ocean?? I don?t think so. I do believe that changes must be done seriously for the security of people of Mauritius so that everybody will feel safe. But I have a question... What is the Police doing up to now to look for these idiots who commited this act? Come on, it?s Mauritius that we are talking about right now! I?m living in Dubayy where developement is running like crazy and security is the main cup of coffee, which means Mauritius has competitors. So, to avoid seeing tourists choose other destinations, please do something urgent to stop this kind of stupidity.
