Teenager kills three in school shooting
A 15-year-old Argentine killed three fellow students and wounded at least six at a school shooting early on Tuesday, local media reported.
The shooting took place in Carmen de Patagones, a town 620 miles (1000 km) south of Buenos Aires and gateway to the remote Patagonia region. Argentine radio and television stations were calling it the worst school shooting in recent memory. “Between the wounded and the dead there are apparently nine,” fire department chief Eduardo Herrera told local radio.
Other television stations were reporting three students had died and that the teenager was the son of a police officer and used a 9 mm pistol.
