Writing competition
The Mauritius Post Ltd is organising a “letter writing” competition for young people aged between 12 and 17 in the context of the activities recommended by the Universal Postal Union for World Post Day. They include exhibitions, visits to the Postal Museum and a drawing competition for employees’ children.
The theme of the letter writing competition is: “I am writing to tell you how young people can help reduce poverty”. The letter, not longer than 350 words, should be written in English and sent to the Communications Department of The Mauritius Post Ltd before the 25th September. Letters will be assessed on the basis of originality, imagination, grammar and vocabulary by an independent jury. The winners will get a prize of Rs 3,000, as well as 6 months basic Internet access on clickpost.com. Prize giving will be around 9th October 2004.
