Corpse with false passport stays 16 days at airport
A corpse with a false passport spent 16 days at Cairo airport before Egyptian authorities agreed to release it for burial, airport sources said.
The authorities checked the corpse?s fingerprints and then formed a committee to ponder the case, they said. The coffin had arrived in Cairo from Syria but the airport refused to release it when the dead man?s son gave a name different from that on the passport.
The man, 55-year-old Mohamed Abduh, had obtained a passport in the name of his brother Ibrahim, the sources said.
