Plumes engagées
Tears before the vows

Rukhsar Mutty.
À l’heure du tout à l’image et du buzz sans suite, «l’express» souhaite faire découvrir la plume de poètes, de chanteurs, d’écrivains et de tous ceux qui jettent leur âme sur le papier, et qui mettent en mots des réflexions profondes.
The news filled me with joy,
A fresh start, a dream come true.
Women and men showered me with congratulations,
Celebrating my upcoming wedding.
Excitement bubbled within me,
Eager to share the news with my friends,
To choose my wedding dress,
My mother brought me to the seamstress.
I was ready to marry the man of my dreams.
But joy was fleeting.
A deafening bang echoed from across the city,
A violent reminder of the chaos surrounding us.
Hope clung to us desperately,
Yet it unraveled in the blink of an eye.
Before I could truly taste happiness,
My dreams lay shattered.
The man I was to marry,
Now wrapped in a coffin.
Amid the ruins of joy,
We held on to hope,
But it felt like grasping at smoke.
