for kindness, not just cash.
She counts her smiles
and saves her sass.
She doesn’t “aww.”
She doesn’t clap.
She’ll pat your back—
then take it back.
One “hi” per day,
two nods a week.
If you want a hug?
Try again next peak.
Her “thank you”s are rare,
her “sorry”s are few.
She once smiled once—
in 2002.
But deep down, we know,
under that budget plan,
Bridget might be nice—
if you cut the price.

Raajeev Auchambit
An English tutor with a passion for writing witty, funny and slightly dramatic texts, he loves taking everyday moments and turning them into something more captivating. Since he started writing in 2020, he has had the pleasure of having his poems and short stories published both locally and in a few foreign anthologies.
