Bodybuilding is the most superficial sport.. Or maybe not

Javisth Bhugobaun.

À l’heure du tout à l’image et du buzz sans suite, «l’express» souhaite faire découvrir la plume de poètes, de chanteurs, d’écrivains et de tous ceux qui jettent leur âme sur le papier, et qui mettent en mots des réflexions profondes.

Bodybuilding is the most superficial sport...

Or maybe not

Boulder shoulders seemed unattainable

Like the task of Sisyphus.

Dreaming of Christmas tree back

Instead of gifts under festive colours.

Rusty bars and sandpaper hand.

White rice and chicken breast.

A routine like the sun and the moon.

Muscle machines accompanied

With clanging and banging,

Echoing among loud grunts,

Chasing pain and illusory satisfaction.

Sculpting marble statues out of our bodies,

And posing like Greek Gods in search

Of an unreachable Olympia.

You gave me something to rise for,

But break me down at the same time.

You gave me a body to look up to,

But fills me with disgust in the same sight.

My love and hate for you

Live in the same mind.

I recognize you,

When will you recognize me?
