Plumes engagées
Blackthorn Tree
Vidushi Haulooman.
À l’heure du tout à l’image et du buzz sans suite, «l’express» souhaite faire découvrir la plume de poètes, de chanteurs, d’écrivains et de tous ceux qui jettent leur âme sur le papier, et qui mettent en mots des réflexions profondes.
In my next life, I want to be born as a Blackthorn tree.
I’d prick the tainted flesh of your enemy
With my sharp and venomous thorns.
I’d shelter and heal your loved ones,
With my branches as a haven and berries as a cure.
In your next life, be my nightingale.
Let me drown in your sweet melody
As you sing freely and oh-so divinely.
Or be my shrike,
I’d let you impale
Your preys on my spikes.
Their blood running down their spines,
Down our throat, quenching our thirsts.
If these do not please you then burn me.
Burn me and fuel the pyre of your enemies.
