● GAY FILM FESTIVAL ? In the context of the International day against homophobia, Collectif Arc-en-Ciel, a non-governmental organisation fighting against homophobia and discriminations related with sexual orientation, is organising a gay film festival at Centre Charles Baudelaire in Rose-Hill as from next Monday 28th May. This festival is aimed at using culture to break taboos on homosexuality.

● UNIONS CALL FOR RS 800 COMPENSATION ? The platform of trade unions called upon all wage earners to take to the streets on Thursday 24th May. The protest march that will start at Champ de Mars at 2.30 p. m. to end in front of the office of the minister of Labour and Industrial Relations, Vasant Bunwaree, is aimed at calling for a Rs 800 wage compensation across the board.
