● The ministry of Arts and Culture is organising a series of activities to mark the 107th birth anniversary of Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam tomorrow, 18th September. Besides the official wreath-laying ceremony at Prof. Basdeo Bissoondoyal Esplanade and the prize-giving ceremony to secondary schools at the SSR Memorial Centre for Culture, Kewal Nagar will host its own activities including a wreath-laying ceremony and a cultural show.

● LEGAL TRAINING SESSIONS ? 26 judges and lawyers from Middle Temple are starting training sessions as from today. The programme will include work on a code of ethics for members of the bar, the relationship between private life and media, human rights, detainees and part-time training for lay magistrates and judges. This visit has been organised by the Chief Justice with the support of the attorney general.
